ABOUT KIDS FOR THE KINGDOM CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL

I feel a calling on my life to help children grow and flourish in all aspects of their lives. Along with having a college degree in Child Development I have had the privilege of caring for children for over 25 years. I have worked with children since I was a child myself starting with babysitting at a young age to working in child care centers from a teen on up. After proper schooling I was a preschool teacher for 6 years as well as a nanny for a wonderful family for 6 years. I most recently operated an in home child care program for over 9 years. I was honored to be nominated for the Anoka County Child Care Provider of the Year in 2022. I have two of my own children so I have had tons of experience from them alone.
I switched my focus from traditional child care to specializing in preschool, facilitating kindergarten readiness.
Not only will your child learn the basics such as letters, numbers, colors, and shapes but will have a bi-weekly themed curriculum with the proper mix of play and structure that is developmentally geared to their skill level in a Christ centered environment. Small group size makes for much more one on one attention.
As a Christian I will enjoy sharing the love of God and instilling Biblical values into your children’s lives.
I have met all requirements necessary to acquire my license from the State of Minnesota. I hold a Class C2 license which allows care for up to 12 children under the age of eleven.
I must complete educational requirements, pass a safety inspection, and be interviewed by a licensing consultant to be relicensed annually.
I attend trainings on a variety of child development topics for a minimum of 16 hours annually and have been certified in CPR and First Aid along with Sudden Unexpected Infant Death (SUID) and Abusive Head Trauma (AHT) training.
